Cost of Renting in Leeds Rising Fast

leeds

Over the last year the average cost to rent a home in Leeds according to Zoopla has risen 4.5%.

Interestingly this is a slightly higher increase than the average wage growth in the UK.

Zoopla is still saying that on average, renting a UK home has become more affordable.

This is in part due to the fact that there is an increase in the number of people buying their first home which is taking the strain off the rental sector.

The report went on to say that the typical tenant in the UK spends almost a third of their earnings on rent alone.

Rent prices vary widely across the UK, with London taking the top spot with an average rent price of £1,600 per month in 2019.

The cheapest average rent prices by area are in the North East of England, with and average rent price of £500 per month.

With rental prices creeping up in Leeds, the value of unlocking empty properties becomes apparent.

Here at Leeds Empties we are committed to bringing empty homes back into use and making them affordable for all.

Most of the empty homes in leeds only need light restoration work, and we have partners like out associate roofers Glasgow that can offer great rates on work.

By increasing the number of properties available we are simultaneously driving down rent prices and bring communities back together.

Many times families will be in temporary council accommodation that is unfit for purpose.

We want to get people in their ideal home that they feel comfortable in and feel proud to be a part of the community.
